Mornin’ y’all! How’s Thursday so far? I know mine feels just like a holiday…but I’ll explain that in a minute!
Yesterday started off on the right foot with some oatmeal pancake sandwiches with peanut butter and banana!
I also decided to surprise the office with a cinnamon streusel coffee cake with cream cheese drizzle (ok, wipe that drool off your desk before your boss sees it ;))
Lunch was another Lean Cuisine delight: BBQ Chicken Pizza (sorry about the bite, I was sort of hungry…):
PLUS Nate found that Jamba Juice was having a SALE on their new smoothies! It’s all fruit, and mine had pomegranate juice, raspberries, strawberries, and mango:
Last night I found a box on our doorstep, and found out that it was full of bread!
As part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker Program I had a chance to sign up for a sampling of Nature’s Pride bread, and that was delivered yesterday! Not a moment too soon either, because we have been pretty pressed for time and food at home this week. Thanks to the bread we got I was able to make chicken sandwiches for dinner!
My sandwich was leftover grilled tenders with some marinara and a sprinkling of mozzarella, and sandwiched on the 100% Whole Wheat bread. The bread had great flavor, but the texture was a little off; however, I wonder how much of that had to do with the box sitting in the sun before we got home. Either way, the flavor was great and we both really enjoyed the sammies. On the side we had roasted carrots and roasted balsamic broccoli slaw! Such a great dinner and I was glad we were able to fit so many veggies in too. Bunker and Keira were treated to some peanut butter jars for their “dessert”:
I had to use the flash for Keira’s photo…it was in the lowest level of our house and there was no light! At least I caught her mid-lick 🙂
The reason it feels like a holiday is because we are going to take the day to do headshots for the WillPower & Grace Summit Conference! For a couple of months now Nate’s been working with Stacey, the president and CEO of WillPowerFit, on shots for her new video and teaching manuals. So when the opportunity came up to do the headshots for instructors around the country we jumped on it!
It should be a really fun day…the crew with WillPower & Grace is fun, full of life, and (since I love exercise) it will be fun to get to see so many like-minded people in the same place 🙂 See? Just like a holiday. Minus the paid time off from the day job 🙂
In light of our full day of photography tomorrow, the question of the day is to leave a link to your favorite photographer! It doesn’t have to be someone who’s a professional…if you like another blogger’s photos of their fabulous food, that counts too! I’ve recently become completely obsessed with Jasmine Star, a photographer out of California. She’s hilarious, a great writer, and obviously an amazing photographer!
