A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to receive a massive supply of KIND bars and granola. Talk about excited, I could hardly contain myself as I dug into the collection and greedily hoarded the best flavors (i.e. ALLOFTHEM) so that I could have them all to myself. And even though I totally ended up sharing them with Nate, I have to say that I ate probably the majority of them within about a week. They’re so delicious that I was having one for a snack and another for dessert – a dessert that I could feel really good about!
As the KIND people at KIND say,
Made with ingredients you can see and pronounce like whole nuts and fruit, KIND Fruit & Nut bars are tasty, delicious and portable – which is important when being on-the-go (they can fit into a bag or purse). KIND’s whole nut and fruit bars are available in 23 flavors across KIND Fruit & Nut, KIND PLUS and KIND minis. KIND also makes KIND Healthy Grains, snackable clusters made from a blend of five 100% whole grains including amaranth, quinoa and buckwheat and superfoods like blueberries, walnuts, chia seeds and flax that are lower in fat, sugar and calories per serving than typical granolas. KIND also works to make the world a little kinder through its KIND Movement, which has inspired hundreds of thousands of unexpected acts of kindness around the world.
I have to be honest though, one of the best things for me about these bars is that they’re not only healthy, they’re perfect for a mom who needs a quick snack before rolling around on the floor with her baby all day. The simple ingredient list is fantastic but let’s be honest – as a new mom who’s trying to get back in shape it’s only part of the equation. The combination of fantastic ingredients, portability AND convenience is the thing that makes these winners for me. It’s health food that doesn’t taste like health food. I’ll take it!
Another thing that’s kind of cool about them is that they’re favorite snacks of both Shawn Johnson and Lolo Jones. Someone please tell me I’m not the only one obsessed with Olympians and just the Olympics in general…! (P.S. the Olympics start Friday. I’m freaking out beyond belief!)
I really appreciate that KIND makes it a priority to make snacks that are both full of good-for-you ingredients AND that taste fabulous to boot. It makes this whole eating-well-and-fitness thing a lot easier on this new mama! That being said, you can check out the KIND store here, and get involved with the KIND Movement here! Do it!
