Kauai: Day 4 – Pizzetta

Stop by and say hi to Cynthia on Faces of Beauty!

I need to do an entire page on my foodie heritage.  Y’all know how much I love my Southern food…I mean goodness!  Sometimes the butter content shocks me too.

But there’s really nothing that compares to my love of Italian food.  All things Italian will likely win my heart every time.  So even when I’m on vacation on Kauai I just can’t be held back from my beloved Italian.  And I’m not just talking about my husband…

Pizzetta in Old Koloa Town on Kauai knows what’s going on when it comes to Italian food.  Hey, just because a restaurant is in the middle of a tropical island doesn’t mean they can’t specialize in European fare!  And you can bet anything seafood related will rock your face off.  It’s just going to happen – there’s no stopping it!

Then again hot, bubbly, cheesy lasagna…well, let’s just say I wouldn’t kick that out of bed either 😉

But the dish of all dishes for me is pizza.  Warm, crispy-chewy bread, perfect tomato sauce, endless topping options, and cheese.  How could you not be in love?  Pizzetta knows what’s going on in all of their dishes, but if you go you have to get the pizza.  It will blow.your.mind!

Maybe you could ask for garlic-lemon shrimp and lasagna as toppings…just a thought 😉

That looks delicious. Think I’ll have pizza for lunch. Aww, who am I kidding? It’s payday. I was going to have pizza for lunch anyway.

This is funny, I was just in Costa Rica and as you may or may not know they really don’t have their own food style down there. So my wife and I ended up eating a lot of Italian food while we were there. Which is fine by me. Looks like your having a great time… Keep the pics coming.

I love Italian food (even though garlic hurts my stomach). I’m Italian so it’s my go-to meal. My husband, on the other hand, could do without.

    That lasagna looks so good.

You know I’m not too big on Italian food, but it’s mainly because of the sauce. The pizza and that cheesy lasagna looks amazing.
