We interrupt the regularly scheduled recipes and ridiculousness to remind y’all of The Great Fundraising Act Auction is TODAY!
I’m seriously honored to be part of such a great cause that helps out one of the sweetest bloggers out there. In case you didn’t read last week’s post, Susan from the Great Balancing Act was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and has begun treatment for it. Her medical bills have skyrocketed though, and as a result the blogging community (healthy living blogs to food blogs to fashion blogs and all of the companies that are related to those blogs) have banded together to create an auction to raise money to help Susan with those bills. There are over 200 items to bid on or, if you’d rather, you can make a monetary donation to Susan. Word on the street is that the costs are over $5,000 a month! Any little thing you do can help, so don’t be scared – jump right in and help!
I’ve donated a batch of Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies:
And a food photography “prop” basket (if you don’t take pictures of your food these are still fun to eat with!):
Which can be found on the official auction site by clicking here. All bids start at $10, and unless the auction crashes (see back-up instructions here), the bidding for my donation will end at 8:30pm EST tonight.
I promise to be back tomorrow with something delicious, but today it’s not about me – it’s about Susan and helping her to find peace in this hard situation. You guys are awesome…now stop reading and start bidding! (List of all items and instructions are here!)
Much love,
Heather
