Sorry, I had to start off that way! I’m so glad to have finally won a Marriage Ref Friday…16-4!  I won’t go into the ENTIRE situation, but basically Nate only wants to pull the Jeep in whenever it’s totally necessary and leave it outside the rest of the time.  He says he needs room for his man toys, but I say he needs to ORGANIZE his man toys and pull the Jeep in.  We’re still working on finding a solution 🙂

Today I was so excited to get to leave work early to spend time with Janet and Chrissy!  When we got home we decided on going just down the road to a local burrito place, G’s.  It’s kind of a dive, but the food is great and the service is awesome!

They’re so cute 🙂  Too bad it took a while to get a shot where Nate was acting normal…

And wearing his mom’s glasses (and then complaining that he looks 42 years old)…

THERE we go!  Fingers crossed that our kiddos will have beautiful smiles like these 😀

I ordered a veggie burrito (rice, black beans, onions, bell peppers, tomatillo salsa) with a little spicy ranch on the side) and split some queso with everyone.  It was good, but not great, since they didn’t have any other vegetables to offer other than what I already got.

And please ignore the marker…Nate slipped that in and I really don’t know why.  Unfortunately neither does he!

I’m not sure what the game plan is the rest of this weekend, but I DO know that it’s supposed to be gorgeous and Nate’s firing up the smoker!  Which means I’ll be making some smoked garlic a la Salty Seattle (and can’t wait to eat it all with a spoon!)  I know I’ve probably mentioned it on here before, but garlic is what I cook for.  The more garlic the better, no questions asked 🙂

What’s YOUR favorite spice or seasoning?  You can pick whatever you want and definitely multiples (because really, who can decide 100% on so many delicious things?) So I obviously just mentioned garlic, but in sweet stuff I’m a big fan of cinnamon, and I like adding nutmeg to dark greens and cream sauces…I like a lot, but it has such an awesome flavor in savory dishes!

Cinnamon, crushed red pepper (when a little extra spice is needed), and sea salt!

cinnamon!!! so good on both sweet and savory stuff. I love it. I also put red pepper flakes on pretty much every non-sweet thing that I eat.

I’m borderline obsessed with cinnamon. I use it all the time. I also heart cumin, garlic, and cayenne. Give it to me hot and spicy, please!
