Oh man, I really did it this time!
I totally overdid it on the dinner thing last night. Not necessarily but eating TOO MUCH food, but too much of one particular kind of food. What’s that, you ask? Grilled cheese:
On the side we had tomato soup in a plastic party cup 🙂 It’s so funny, too, because I was reading someone’s comment on The Weekly Bite yesterday about how grilled cheese and tomato soup is such a stellar combination. She was right!
I loved this magnet on Rebecca’s fridge:
And, to be honest, I’m not sure why this was a huge deal. BUT, I was told I needed to capture Robbie (of Robbie and Stefanie the amazing friends) taking a chunk out of a stack of mechanically separated meat parts salami:
Neither he nor I could figure out why it was such a big deal, but Nate told me to take the pictures, so I did!
Last night was a great night in our community group. There were some really cool stories that were shared about marriage and its ups and downs. I’m constantly amazed by listening to the people in our group, and I always look forward to our times together!
This morning I did a breakfast cookie without cocoa powder! Crazy, I know…I did flour instead and added half the chocolate chips and some dried cranberries. It was really good! I’m thinking I’ll need to take a break from the cookies soon, though. I’m starting to not be as amazed anymore, and I want to keep liking eating them!
And I got to work and had a cup of Blueberry SlimLife tea with a great reminder on the tag, “True understanding is found through compassion.” So true!
So, as I said a little earlier, I’m slightly disappointed in myself and my lack of self control with the grilled cheese last night. I had my whole sandwich, about 1/2 cup of tomato soup, and then another 1/2 of a grilled cheese. NO VEGGIES. This is not a good thing. My goal of losing weight healthfully was slightly compromised with my inability to control my portions last night, and I’m not too proud this morning. My hope is that today I can pick myself up off the ground and get it together again!
I did a 25-minute yoga flow workout this morning, and am planning on doing the walking thing again today. As usual, when I walk, I’m doing 4.5 mph on the Boulder Creek Path, which is fairly hilly. I am still trying to figure out how to get some time to do weight training consistently too though. As I lose weight (which is actually happening…clothes are starting to not fit anymore!), I want to be building muscle to increase tone. I just need to get myself out of bed earlier to start doing that!
How do you build strength training into your workouts? I don’t have access to a gym, and so all of my workouts are based around time availability at this point!

No such thing as too much grilled cheese! But actually, I know what you mean. It’s not about what you ate, it’s about losing control around it.
Congrats on your loose clothes! I do go to a gym to lift weights, but I know that there are a lot of bloggers that really love Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.

stairs and canned foods are great ways to implement weight training without actual weights, you can do lunges, squats, push ups, push press, etc. with just those two components!
