Wait.  Thanksgiving is over?  AND IT’S ALMOST 2013?!

Easy Weeknight Thanksgiving Turkey Burgers from HeathersDish.comMan, do I have a lot of catching up to do!

The whole power outage thing + the holidays has totally thrown me and my schedule for a loop.  I don’t know what day it is.  I don’t remember when the new year starts.  Where am I?

The good news is that I have found a totally legit and super easy way to celebrate Thanksgiving all year round, and it’s literally two ingredients (well, two plus buns & your favorite toppings).  I don’t know about y’all, but when it comes to weeknight dinners the simpler the better is what flies in this house.  And these burgers could not be any simpler.

I think the best way to enjoy them is slathered with cranberry sauce and topped with cheddar and a little spinach, but you could go wild – I have to tell you I’ve thought about making a green bean casserole and tossing a serving on top of these burgers.  Serve it with some sweet potatoes or sweet potato fries and you’ve got a meal my friend!

THANKSGIVING TURKEY BURGERS

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1-1/2 cups prepared stuffing (I used a box stuffing for this one!)
  • your favorite burger toppings/Thanksgiving sides: cranberry sauce, lettuce, mustard/mayo, spinach, pickles, whatever!

Put the ground turkey and the stuffing in a large bowl and gently (this is key) mix by hand until it’s all well incorporated.  For into 4 equal patties and grill accordingly – I did mine on our George Foreman grill for about 8-10 minutes til the turkey is cooked all the way through.

Eat up!
