Not like you my Travel page gives any kind of indication, but we love traveling to tropical places. We love the weather, the water/beaches, the atmosphere, the smells. And most DEFINITELY the flavors. And I think that most of the general population would agree that anything enjoyed on an island is completely delicious, amen?
Amen.
I’m going to go ahead and give you a heads up – there are going to be multiple smoothies in the Blended series that are inspired by tropical flavors. They’re fresh and lively and classically perfect in a cool drink. PLUS if you’re adding greens to your smoothies they do a good job of covering up some of the earthier or more pungent greens flavors.
And can we talk about coconut milk please? I like the full-fat and lighter varieties equally, but when it comes to daily use I typically go for the lighter option. It adds just a perfect creaminess and light coconut flavor to a smoothie already packed with goodness!
Y’all whip this one up and pretend we’re on a tropical vacation, mmmkay?
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup lite coconut milk
- 1/3 cup almond milk
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen (thawed) mango, cubed
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
Mmm! How refreshing!
Love all of your smoothie recipes lately!! This one sounds perfect for summer-time (or any time really!!). Hope you are doing well and enjoying the Lenten season.
This sounds like paradise in a cup!
Oh girl, it really is. I would even maybe consider adding some rum if it was a real vacay… 😉
Mmm I’ve been on a mango kick lately! I love snacking on frozen mango, so I’m sure I’d love this smoothie!
Isn’t mango the best?! I had never ever even tried mango, period, til I was 22!
Canned coconut milk still freaks me out a bit, but I really do need to try it!
You could totally use the refrigerated kind if you want – I just think the canned kind has more coconut flavor to it 🙂
