When it comes to cooking dinner, I am really in the same boat as everyone else. Sure, we eat something new pretty much every night as a result of a blog post or freelance recipe in the works. But there are those nights that are wildly reserved for just cooking for the fun of cooking. And cooking is SO FUN. Until you realize that you have no clue what sounds good anymore. And you have no creativity left because you let it leak out onto the internet earlier in the week. Then it’s just hard to even put a coherent recipe idea together, let alone acting on that recipe idea. But you guys? I am really excited about this new product from Kraft that allows us all to take a mental break from cooking for our families, and lets fantastically layered flavors do the job for us. I’m talking about these really easy and really delicious Recipe Makers from Kraft – 9 new products, each with two complimentary sauces that would take the normal person hours to make! The great thing is that the boxes provide 3 different recipe options, but there’s really no limit to how you can use these sauces to put a yummy spin on any meal!
I had one such night last week where I was literally staring at the refrigerator like it had just grown three heads. I knew I needed to cook and I just had no clue what to make. Thankfully I have all nine of these new flavor combos in my pantry, so I grabbed the Three Cheese Chicken Florentine and decided to make a pizza with it. You use the crock pot to rock out some seriously yummy shredded chicken. Store-bought pizza crust makes a great base (although you can definitely use homemade if you want!), and the creamy Three Cheese Baking Sauce makes the perfect bed to put all that tender chicken on top of. I threw on some fresh mushrooms for good measure and a layer of mozzarella cheese! Into the oven it went, and 12 minutes later we were eating! So sure, I’m a food blogger. But I have off nights too…and when I do I can’t imagine anything better than a 12-minute dinner!
CHEESY MARINARA SHREDDED CHICKEN PIZZA
Makes 2 large pizzas
- 1 box Kraft Recipe Makers 3-Cheese Chicken Florentine
- 2 pizza crusts
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- Fresh veggies of choice – onions, peppers, mushrooms, olives, spinach, etc.
First things first you’ll want to make the shredded chicken. Pour the Garlic Tomato Simmer Sauce in the crock pot and nestle the chicken breasts into the sauce. Cook on low for 5-6 hours until cooked through and the chicken shreds easily. To make the pizzas, place a baking stone or a baking sheet in the oven and turn the oven on to 500. Spread half of the 3-Cheese Creamy Baking Sauce on the prepared pizza crusts, then layer half of the shredded chicken and desired veggies on top of the cheese sauce. Sprinkle evenly with half of the mozzarella. Place on the baking sheet/baking stone and bake at 500 for 12-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden and crisp on the bottom. Repeat for the second pizza! Enjoy!
What could you do with these sauces for a weeknight dinner? I’m always down for hearing new ideas! Here’s how Kraft does it:
I am loving reading all of these recipe makers posts! And your pizza looks divine 🙂 It’s fun to see what other people thought to do with them. Aren’t they just great products? I can’t wait to do some more experimenting! 🙂
They really are great products – and SO easy to use!!!
Shoot, girl. You are makin’ me hungry! I have a major weakness for mushrooms…even more so when they’re resting conveniently on top of a pizza. 😉
Wow, those recipe makers sound awesome and this pizza sounds even better!! You had me at cheesy!
Looks amazing, Heather!
Thank you Tieghan! Can’t go wrong with cheesy, right? 😉
