Can we chat for a minute about TV? Because y’all, with a husband in the video industry and a general love for entertainment, we watch a loooooot (read: too much) of TV in our house. I’m not going to apologize because I’m not sorry…but it’s a lot. Which means that when summer hits then we are going just about crazy trying to find something good to watch!
Our favorites during the year are usually of the non-reality but overly dramatic type: Blindspot, Nashville, Chicago Fire/Med/PD. Then there’s always ALWAYS Friends re-runs (which I usually “watch” in the background while working or falling asleep), The Tonight Show, and I absolutely adored Superstore. Summer has nothing for me anymore – American Ninja Warrior even seems to have lost its luster. I’m positively amped about the Olympics this year (this post pretty much describes my general attitude toward the games) – but what am I supposed to do before then?
What’s that you say? TURN THE TV OFF?
LOCK IT UP SISTERFRIEND! 🙂
Truly though I’m looking to branch out and want to know what you guys love to watch. I’ve heard that Parenthood is a must but I just don’t want to get too emotionally invested in anything. We watched The Pacific the other night (second time we’ve seen it) and I can’t recommend that enough – really similar to Band of Brothers. Peaky Blinders is another good series but we’ve watched it all the way through. Seen all of House of Cards and am already irritated that future seasons aren’t here yet.
So. There you go. My TV repertoire – but I want to know what you love to watch and why!
OH, and while you’re watching TV and looking for something scrumptious to eat? This butter pecan dessert is seriously delicious. Think rice pudding with loads of sweet, buttery, nutty flavor – and you’ve got it all in a perfect little bowl just for you! Ready for the recipe? Just head on over and get it from Riceland!
