I’m going to be completely cliche here and ask you guys: who else is watching the Olympics obsessively? Raise your hands high with me because I SURE AM! Like to the point where I’m leaving the TV on all day long because the way I see it this is a learning opportunity for my kids.
Learn how to swim fast. Learn how to do hard things. Learn how to overcome adversity and be amazing instead.
While I’m sure they will actually have to pay attention for the Olympic lessons to wear off on them, I’m all over the stories and events and just so silly thankful for a break from the idiocy that is American politics. That’s about as specific as I’ll ever get with politics on this ol’ blog, by the way. But I’m so very very thankful for the break!
Right now we are loving the fact that summer is ending which means that there’s all kinds of amazing summer produce out now. Fresh salads and lightly steamed veggies are on the menu constantly, and these balsamic glazed pecans are usually one of the main toppings. The key? YOU MUST TOAST THE PECANS FIRST. Trust me on this, friends. I wouldn’t lie to you!
