One thing about having a little boy that I didn’t expect was all of the grunting and “man” noises that he makes. We haven’t heard any words yet, although I say “mama” a minimum of a billion times a day to try and sway his first words my direction. I’m planning on doing a full 11-month (WHAT?!) write up tomorrow for his 11-month birthday, and believe me there’s been a LOT of stuff happening in the past month!
I’ve always known that there are genetic predispositions I have for certain heart issues, and having Wes these days makes me realize just how much I need to take care of myself. It’s not something I’ve been unaware of previously by any means, but every new discovery, every new step, every [almost] “mama” is another reminder that I have even more to live for now. Being proactive with my health is one of the most important things I can do to make sure I’m around to fully embarrass my sweet son by kissing him before he goes to prom and beyond 😉
With my little dude on the move all the time now, the times that I can eat are few and far between so when I DO get to eat I try to make sure it’s as healthy as possible. I have to admit that stocking up on Campbell’s natural soups make it easy to grab something to eat while I’m chopping fruit and cheese or stirring yogurt to feed my guy.
