80 Day Obsession, Day 22 Review @heathersdish #fitness #80dayobsession

Today I’ve got fitness on my mind, and based on the tons of questions I’ve had on my Instagram stories about my current workout program, you guys do too! It’s been a while since I talked fitness on here, mainly because I have been in the process of trying to figure it out for myself!

About two years ago I had a membership to Beachbody on Demand, but I couldn’t really stick to a program and just didn’t like the idea of someone bossing me around with a meal plan. So I quit. And for all of last year I did the Bikini Body Guide (BBG) workout program, which I would very highly recommend – but didn’t get the results I was really looking for again because of the eating thing. I spent a long time stuck in disordered eating habits and body image issues, and the last thing I wanted to do was to accidentally fall into that again.

Before Christmas I found an Instagram account that really made me reconsider Beachbody again, though. Ashley Smith just so openly shared about this new workout program, the eating plan, the struggles of doing it all with a thriving business and babies, and I just couldn’t argue with her results. I figured now might be the time to jump back in with Beachbody, and 80 Day Obsession seemed like a great way to do it. So for Christmas I asked for a membership as a gift, and here I am now – 22 days into the program!

I’m waiting on showing before and after shots because let’s face it – everyone loves a dramatic change. But the things I’ve loved about this program are all of the non-scale victories I’ve had. More control over my food intake, a better picture of how to eat with more balanced portions, increased strength, better balance, muscle tone, soreness that I haven’t had in a while, my clothes fitting better, all of it. The workouts are different every day – 80 different workouts – and they’re fun! And really hard! But fun! (but seriously super challenging in a really great way). If the past 22 days are any indication then I am really excited to see what the next 60 will show!
