I feel like I need to intro this with the fact that we are NOT gluten-free, but more than anything are working toward staying away from simple carbs and increasing the healthy fats, protein and fiber in our lives. I’ve seen a big improvement in my boys’ behavior when we keep the bread and refined sugar at bay, so we have started to move more of our treats to the almond flour/coconut flour/gluten-free/naturally sweetened arena. It’s not an all-the-time thing by any means – heck, a girl (and her boys) need some bread from time to time! But a dietary change we’ve seen positive growth with is certainly a blessing!
