I feel like this may be a little premature, this richly satisfying strawberry popsicle recipe, but I can’t not share it with you guys! See, since we are now making our own yogurt like the pros we are we now have to create our own arsenal of yogurt-centric recipes! I’m just saying I’m down with helping with the inspiration is all.
I’m a big fan of frozen fruit during these times when the fresh stuff isn’t perfectly in season, especially for all the smoothies we make around here. Have I talked to you guys about smoothies lately? I literally want to make them all the time because I found a recipe I’m loving, but I don’t make them as often as I should because Austin always wants to drink them. Guys? He drinks them FAST! Brain freeze has no effect on this kid, so he ends up drinking 3/4 of my smoothie in a few seconds and I’m left with the tiniest sip ever.
Sometimes mama doesn’t like to share food. Sometimes mama has to just to keep the peace.
Anyway, we have a lot of frozen fruit on hand and two little guys who want sweet stuff after dinner. I figured it would be a good idea to let them indulge healthfully – makes mom look like the coolest lady every, and I’m over here snickering because I tricked them again!
While this is certainly a recipe that would be great with fresh berries, I really love the consistency of the frozen ones. Thaw ’em overnight in the fridge, then pour the entire package in the blender. Voila!
Enjoy y’all!
