#lovelylinks because #TGIF!

FriYAY y’all! Who else is super excited? I mean, it’s the first weekend of fall and in Arkansas…there is zero change.

OK that’s kind of a lie – there are some red leaves in the tippy-tops of the trees while I sweat my tail off in 90+ degree temps. BUT it’s there (sort of) in the tiny breezes! There’s a promise of cooler temps and maybe being able to enjoy hot coffee on the back porch!

What are y’all up to this weekend? Besides the season premiers of Poldark and Quantico we are hoping to get outside, sweltering temps or not. Because outside is always the best choice, amen? I hope you all get to enjoy some too, and here’s some links for the moments you’re catching up online! Enjoy!

1. I can use ALL THESE THINGS – a great roundup!
2. Red curry cauliflower wings sound amazing – I can’t wait to try them!
3. And speaking of DELICIOUS
4. I’m all over the crappy dinner party rules. Local friends, who’s in?
5. Amal Clooney is taking ISIS to court. Couldn’t be more on her side.
6. BLURF!
7. I’m ashamed to say I’ve believed this lie. And thankful for grace to see truth.
8. Another (50) reasons to love Roald Dahl.
9. Women in the CIA – so very intriguing.
10. Coffee + lemonade – what do you think? I’m sooooo not sure they go together?

20+ Almond Flour Recipes for the Whole Family

by Heather on September 22, 2016

20+ Almond Flour Recipes for the Whole Family. A great round-up for those who are looking to move a little further away from flour...without sacrificing texture or flavor! #glutenfree #almondflour #bakingforkids #healthyfamily

I feel like I need to intro this with the fact that we are NOT gluten-free, but more than anything are working toward staying away from simple carbs and increasing the healthy fats, protein and fiber in our lives. I’ve seen a big improvement in my boys’ behavior when we keep the bread and refined sugar at bay, so we have started to move more of our treats to the almond flour/coconut flour/gluten-free/naturally sweetened arena. It’s not an all-the-time thing by any means – heck, a girl (and her boys) need some bread from time to time! But a dietary change we’ve seen positive growth with is certainly a blessing!

I wanted to share some recipes that we’ve loved, so be sure to check them all out below! These bloggers have worked hard creating delicious things that you can feel better about eating and giving to your kids!

Hurray Friday!!! How was everyone’s week?! Mine was good, albeit slightly crazy, but that’s not really a new thing. Crazy is just the way we do it around our house these days. Need an example? After both boys went basically nap-less yesterday I took them to Home Depot in an attempt to research some supplies […]

Peanut Butter and Caramelized Banana Toast

September 14, 2016

Apparently fancy toast is a thing these days – who knew? You know, besides everyone else in the entire world I’m sure. Most trendy things don’t cross my path until it’s been out of style for a few seasons.   But this? Toast with all the things on it? I’m all over that!   Last […]

My friends! How’s it going? How was your week? I gotta say, mine has been up and down. It’s been relatively good but A is still working on beating this ear infection with a fever AND I think he might be teething his two-year molars already. OY. He’s so flipping adorable, though, even when he […]
